Does anyone else in SoCal pick up issues of Drive magazine at the shops? They are always in those racks by the doors at Muscle Factory, OPG, CPP, etc. It has low key, fun motorhead stuff in it. It's certainly not a HotRod mag, but I like it. Kinda grass roots.
So, the other day, I get a Drive magazine in the mail. What the heck? It sure didn't look like the Drive magazines I am used to... It's the Subaru owners magazine Drive, which has been around for 25 years. They just started sending it to us cuz we bought an '09, apparently stiffing us for years on other Subes we have bought.
Anyway, Subaru's Drive is very polished (boring) and has a "trade mark R" the the "Drive" title on the cover. The motorhead Drive is a little more freestyle, I wonder if they checked with the trade mark office before naming their venture?
I might be the only guy who would catch this overlap. Anyone living in sunny SoCal who picks up motorhead Drive isn't going to be driving a Subaru. Anyone driving a Subaru isn't likely to be going into motorhead shop. Interesting coincidence (in from my own twisted perspective).
