: Was kind of thinking..... help me on this
speedyy Jan 9th, 09, 7:15 AM Hi, :)
I already own my Chevelle for a year now and I know now how hard it is to find "the bigger parts" in Europe, when you own a Camaro or Firebird finding parts is quite easy, but finding specifically 1 year only parts on the whole 64-77 GM-A bodies range are a disaster when trying to find out of the US.
I've looked for it further and there isn't any site that brings all GM A bodies together, at least in Europe there isn't any, and I think if there would be one there would be a 100% increase in finding parts, the question is:
Is it worth the trouble to set up a new community for ALL GM-A body owners (skylarks, tempests, chevelles, cutlasses, and so on) even though it would be focus on the European community? or would it be just a little bit more of the same?
Because frankly.... I think I might have hit a good idea for a change.
oldtimebaseballfan Jan 9th, 09, 10:04 AM Sounds like a good idea. Good luck on the parts.

Yes, and unlike the US-Classics over here, in Europe everything is mostly limited to one single "American car section"or a "chevroletforum" which is a mess, as I'm really not interested in someone else's Chevy G20 VAN or a 1994 Corsica .
If I put something in the wanted ads here, for myzelf only, I'm off with buying a $200 part, 19% tax excluded and with $500 shipping costs, I can imagine it would be cheaper with a group which follows the same interests on the same type of car, especially because there are always individuals that have certain parts in stock.
I think Europe hosts some 5000 wreck or concours A-bodies, mostly El Camino's
Olle Jan 9th, 09, 11:26 AM This doesn't help you to set up your own business, but it might help you to find some parts: I know that there are several fairly large companies in Sweden that deal with American car parts. Most of them only carry certain brands or certain types of parts, but there are also some that will help you to find parts for any car. Unfortunately, the web commerce in Europe doesn't seem to be as popular and well developed as it is in the USA, but you might want to e-mail them and see what they can do for you. It has been a while since I lived in Sweden so I'm kinda out of the loop, but Klintberg & Way (https://www.klintbergway.com/Templates/PageCorporate.aspx?index=226§ionID=33784) is probably the largest. You could try and PM our Swedish users (for example Challe) and see if someone can provide more info.
