I deburred the outside of the block and smoothed the lifter valley and the area under the timing chain cover. I still have a little to do yet as there are some spots in the cam tunnel that I want to touch up. If all goes well, it should be ready for the hot tank by Friday. The motor will come out of the car as soon as the stand is free and the garage is organized.

It gets hot tanked, checked for cracks, mains checked for straightness, deck checked, punched out .060 for 427 pistons, honed for plasma moly rings, crank turned and polished, rotating assembly balanced. Also my heads get a competition valve job after I do a little bowl blending and port work.

Might want to check the cam bore too...should be great. All the correct stuff. Do you have a flow bench for the heads? If so what do you expect to get out of them and what type (GM, AFR, Brodix)?

Just my stock 215s with stock valves. With the pistons I'm going to run and the closed chamber heads I should have insane compression. No flow bench, just gonna have to trust my luck;) If I had the cash, some Brodix RR ovals would go on it.
