Got some old aluminum wheels that are pretty scuffed up. Would it be possible to smooth them out and paint them? If so, what kind of paint would you recommend? This may belong in the body shop forum, but I thought I'd start here in case someone has done this already.

I had my wheels powder coated and they came out beautiful, I had them done 6 years ago and they still look great.:hurray:
I paid $20 per wheel

I have also had this done to several sets of factory aluminum wheels because of the clearcoat peeling. I just got a second set of 91 16" RS wheels done and it looks great and lasts and are easy to keep clean! $35 a wheel is a good deal to me to make a so so set of wheels look new again!
