I have a local guy that does them. Rebuilding a starter really isn't that hard as long as the armetuer isn't shorted out. Some new brushes and a drive, and it should be good to go. The internals aside, it's a matter of painting and detailing the case.

If you have mechanical ability, go to NAPA, buy a reman, take yours apart, clean the case and paint it, take the guts out of the NAPA starter and put them back into your original case. Starter rebuilt, costs about $60.
