I am looking for where I can purchase chrome trim pieces that go above the passenger and driverside windows that help hold the headliner on. I have mine but they are severly dented and scratched.

Or can I use windlace in place of them if new replacements can not be be purchased.

Thanks,
Tony

Im not saying they are unavailable, but I was unable to find new ones.. you can have your old ones restored by some companies.....

I think you are talking about aluminum pieces. If so, they can be restored. Decent unrestored parts on Ebay are expensive. A polished set sells for $300+ on Ebay. You can DIY.

That aluminum headliner trim does not hold the headliner in place. It is for decoration. The headliner is held in place by glue. You could use windlace, just not correct looking. I have restored these trim pieces. You will first want to strip the anodize finish off of them. Then work the dents out. Followed by sanding the scratches out. Finally polishing them up.

I was not sure if they help hold headliner in place....as far as using windlace and not being correct is not an issue with me snce my car is not correct anyway.

I will try and restore my trim pieces. Thanks for the replys.
