I can receive two sets of the TT 2's or the Coys for the price of one set of the rushforths. So in short I do not care where the product is made but there needs to be a good reason for me to shell out that extra cash and made in china is just not good enough for me.

Can we base this on the aesthetic appeal of the wheel, but I must agree the Fuel is very nice wheel!

Does anyone have any other recommendations on a good wheel? I am also very concerned about the finish of the wheel. I am afraid since an 18 inch wheel has such a large surface area the polished or chrome finish will be too bright on such a light colored car?

The Coys are good looking wheels that compliment these cars well...that I will not argue. It has been my experience however that once you compare these wheels side-by-side in your OWN hands, the difference becomes dramatically clear...the texture and tight grain of the casting, the quality of the polished hoop, the welds, the fit & finish, etc, etc. You can just look at them and tell that after a year, you're pretty certain you won't have the peeling and flaking issues you may have with off-shore wheels.Everything looks pretty when they're new...the real test is a few years later when that aluminum just won't hold a polish. And I haven't even touched upon the construction of the wheel or the quality and depth of the welds...:noway:

Buy quality once and you'll never regret it...US-made cars deserve US-made wheels.

im partial to the rushforths, but i think the rushforth strutters and superspokes look the best. john is TOTALLY right about the quality. check out the threads on the "American"/chinese Racing wheels leaking at the welds. not only that, but the rushforths are powdercoated and MUCH easier to maintain.

also, as far as looks, your front end needs to come down about 3". i think that would make all the wheels look better in your comparison.

what size wheels and tires are you looking for?

I knew Coys were a little rough, but I thought ARs weren't too bad for Chinese, but I guess quality control's gone there too.
What about http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/products/wheels John
They have some sweet looking wheels

I really just wanted to see your cars again :D But seriously, but they're some wheels you should definately consider instead of ARs or Coys if the price is right ?
The V45s are nice too

I know I am about to P** off the old schoolers even though I think these wheels are too big for my taste, I still think the cars are not too bad. The paint jobs are probbaly $5000-$10000, there motors are fancy to basically all chromed out. But the New school wheels don't look too bad. I doubt these guys are thinking about performance and running 10's 11's and 13's etc.... I doubt I would see them at Baytown race track. This is an example of OLD SCHOOL VS NEW SCHOOL 454 vs LS etc.....

Yes I agree on bringing the front end down about 2-3 inches. I am not sure what the best method is to do this? I currently have a 468 in the car with all aluminum components, and have small block springs in the front of the car with Comp engineering shocks. I was not sure if I should cut a coil, replace springs and shocks?

I have these wheel and tire sizes in mind right now.

Front – Wheel – 18x9 (4.5 BS)
Tire - 275/30 R 18

Rear – Wheel – 18x10 (5.5 BS)
Tire - 305/45 R 18 Nitto Drag Radial

wheels sizes look good, but your backspacing won't work on these cars...you'll need 5.25"-5.5" in front on a 9" wide wheel and 5.75"-6" on the rear with a 10" wide wheel. Also,I don't think anyone makes a 305/45 drag radial, mine are 305/30's.

And I've got plenty of sidewall as you can see...

wow- i dont know what it is -but I have never liked tt2 and have always liked more custom wheels but in A - i must say they look amazing on that car-

I honestly dont like that design of B- ( RF has cool desings- I just dont like this one)
and C you will not me happy with the quality.. ( I had some c-57 i liked the wheels and design but not the fitment)

Either way ..I think the best thing you can see from all three images is that your chevelle belongs with a chrome or polished star wheels .. not gun metal/grey/black,,,

Thanks for the BS sizes john!!

According to there website they make the tire.

http://nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Ent555r%2Esizes

I would really like to have a 28 inch tall tire on the rear of my car, because of gearing, and proportions. I also just don't want to see any wheel well gap in the back of the car. But I am still trying to figure this out.

Thanks for the posts!

I agree BUT not for fitment..
They make only one piece moldings so there are no custom B/S.
Look at there gallery of pictures on there website.. http://www.coyswheel.com/photogallery.html
imo..The only cars that look good with there wheels are the ones that are slammed on airbags where you only see a qtr of the rim..

again this is just my own opionion..
I have the c-57 and love the wheel/design- and that its a no hassle 1 piece chrome wheel- but they just look not properly fitted..

:beers:

And a great opinion it is too:yes:...fitment is more than 1/2 the battle and getting the look and stance exactly like you want takes custom offsets.
Sure,it'll probably fit...but does it offer the clearance you need while delivering the style your ride deserves?

I too have the C-57's polished and for the price I can't complain. They fit well on my Elco, but wish I would have gotten 18's for the rear.
