Is the price they're asking decent?

"has some bumps under the paint, we tried to photograph them, but wanted to let you know they are there"

I appreciate the seller being honest. Not much of that going around these days

What does this mean for you??? Previous bodywork (filler) that is starting to fail. Could last a long time, could last weeks. Build sheet is legit, looks like decent optioned car in fair condition. I would think it should be able to be bought in the neighborhood of $23-26K. Depends on how bad you want THIS car, I think there are better ones to be found for the asking price.

I agree with Dave. The price is pretty high for a car that is going to need bodywork. In this market, you should be able to find better deals.

Car needing body work and paint is not worth anywhere near $29,900 especially in MN in the winter!

Nice looking car, I like the fact that it carries two build sheets. However bubbles, and blisters under paint is not a good thing, and a sign of worse things. This car would need to be stripped down to bare metal, to be done right, and hope that it is only some minor patch work that would need to be done. In lieu of the above facts, I would now value the car to be in the neighborhood of 21-23k.

The '72 Hurst/Olds looks like a good deal from them.

That car has been advertised here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for quite sometime.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Chris, about how long has been advertised for sale?

The reason I'm asking about this car is because I was sent an email from them telling me they may be interested in working out a trade for my car for one of theirs. They called me yesterday. I'm getting ready to call them back here in a sec.

Sharp 69 you got there. If they are offering the 72 as a trade for the 69....Make SURE they give you a LOT OF BOOT.

Thanks and you think A LOT more? I was going to try and shoot for an even trade if it happens. I don't have documents and mine is a bench seat column shift car. Hmmmm

My 70 SS Ragtop is a column shift, bench seat car. Does that mean it would be worth less money if I wanted to sell it? Don't matter, it will probably never be sold while I am still breathing. Good luck on the trade. JC

Its been for sale since last winter or spring for sure that I know of. I wont say it hasnt sold because of the car itself, economy may be partial to blame for that. I havent seen it in person so I can comment on the condition but I will say that if it were me though, I wouldnt trade that 69 of yours for it.
