I have a new ps pump on and it squeels when I drive on the street after drivign on the freeway, no other time. I am at wits end and my last thought is that the metal tube on high press hose must get hot from the headers. I have moved it as far away as possible already, but to no avail. Any one else have this problem or any ideas?. I am thinking about trying some of that heat shield wrap

Is it the pump itself or the belt? Check the belt tension and check to see if the belt is glazed.

And check the power steering fluid level while you're in there.

Belt tension is fine and fluid is toppped off. It is the unit making noise, not the belt
