I have about 500 miles on engine,.030 over,solid lift cam,750cfm holley carb,msd ignition,electric fuel pump with regulator,4 speed manual trans.car will run good while warming up and for first few miles.first time Ishut it off car will not start, acts like it is flooded.Have to wait about 20 minutes then it will start but runs rough.

Is the carb leaking fuel into the intake after you shut it off?

Sounds like your float level is set to high or your needle/seat is not sealing. Easiest is to check float level first. Is the 750 new or rebuilt? If it has been apart be sure the springs were put back on the float lever.

Before someone jumps on this, I incorrectly stated "springs" each float has one spring that attaches were the pivot shaft goes through.
