Happy Sunday All,
I have a 68 El Camino and my chrome dash bezels (ignition, lighter, headlights, wipers) are bunged up. I see kits (on ebay for instance) to replace all 4 of these bezels for around $90 plus shipping.
On the other hand I have read previous posts here about places (such as CV Vacuum Platers) http://www.cvvacuumplaters.com ) that re-plate such parts.
Anybody ever install repro-replacement bezels? What are the pros / cons of replacing vs replating?
Also, do you have any tips or tricks to remove these bezels (including the headlight shaft from the switch mechanism) without bunging things up more?
Thank you,:beers:
Greg
