I know this is not a Chevelle issue but the S-10 sites I have run accross have been little to no help.

I am having an issue with the electronic shifting transfer case on my 94 S-10. I have the Chevy Service Manual and it has a great flow chart for diagnosing the problem and Trouble Codes. However in order for the Transfer Case to produce the Trouble Codes through the lights on the shift panel, the manual says I have to hook up a jumper to ground from Pin #13 on the Data Link Connector (DLC). No where in the manual have I been able to find a diagram of the DLC to know which one is Pin #13. Also, I assume the DLC is the plug inder the dash by the E-brake?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am sure with this info I can properly diagnos and repair the problem. I just can't bare to dump any more money into this truck at the dealer!

The DLC is the one down by the e-brake. I know it's a pain, but a flashlite and a mag glass are essential. The numbers for the pins are cast into the plastic, but they are very tiny. Good Luck!

Don't know if you've been there yet, but try www.s-series.org (http://www.s-series.org) They're a pretty helpful bunch. Good luck!

I checked the plug last night with flashlight and magnifying glass in hand. I could not see any numbers on the connector. I did count only 12 slots. The manual I am using is for a 95 but the truck a 94. I am thinking they use a different plug.

As for s-series.org, I posted a question there this morning. Thanks for the help and any additional comments.
