Recently instaled a Q-jet carbarator on my 1966 el camino 327. For the most part it works nicely except for cold starts. I cant seem to figure out why the choke wont work.

p.s. i have fixed a lot of the diesling i had at first with the idle but what else could be causing it.

did you check to see if the bimetal spring which is in the the intake manifold is working,it probably needs to be replaced after you replace the spring you may have to bend the linkage to adjust for the proper choke adjustment, you should get a manual on your car it will explain what the proper adjustment is for your car and how to do it <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by GI599:
