have severe wheel hop on my 70 chevelle. car has the ls6 motor 4 speed 4:10 rear. have tried traction bars new rear snubber. car has new bushings also. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks sam

Did you replace the "SS links"? They are the bars that go between the upper and lower controll arm bushings. Mine were cracked real bad when I took them out and replaced them with the Hotchkis ones. Try the whole Hotchkis rear package with the sway bar. mine dont hop (all the time).

Will

Polyurethane rear bushings will usually cure the wheel hop. It did on mine.

Put urethane bushings in mine too.....solved my wheel hopping problem......that and a nice sticky street tire!!!!! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Is the car jacked up in the rear? Returning it to it's original ride height will do wonders as well.
