Got a personalized license plate and it was denied by the MTO... it was supposed to be 'El Cohlc'

So I would like to come up with another one... any ideas?

you may try to search your licensing agencies web site. ours lets you check to see if the one you wants available. or try again after a while, might go thru. did you ask they why not? doesnt seem bad to me. a guy around here, a elk hunter, has ELKAHLC. Collector vehilce plates are common around here, you only pay once for them but the rig has to be 30 years old. they give you one for the rear so you can put whatever on the front bumper. on ebay, a guy makes airbrush look a like plates and will put whatever you want on it. I like the old plates, period correct ones, that we can register to a vehicle. good sets can run $100+

I had a heck of a time getting mine approved. 69 JEFE. DMV actually called me twice for the explanation! Only 1969 cars can get 69 on the plate at all. I had to explain that its a '69 car and my nickname is jefe. Spanish for boss. I'm not spanish, and dont speak the language, but it is a nickname of mine.

I always thought Cheech and Chongs plate of MUF DIVR was the best. Never happen though

Damn the price gas must be high in Holland if you have to power your car with a large fan mounted on top or the car. No bridges there??

yes a lot of bridges bud its a smal fan and the bridges are high enough zo no problem ;) only the way the wind blows is a problem haha

I have a Co. that makes Repro. tags. Once I get mine back on the road, I'm going to get on like this made for 69 and try to get it through MVA.

I went to the DMV and ordered "El Cam 67" and I got the plates in the mail. Shortly there after I got a call from the State of Illinois telling me "NOT" to put those plates on. They explained that they had sent me plates for a car and mine is classified as a truck. So I ended up with "67 L Cam". It really didn't bother me so I would have been happy either way!!
When they called and told me not to use the plates they also went through my options right then, in order to let me know what I could get. So maybe the best thing to do is get your ideas together and then give the DMV a call to find out if your choices are available.
