I am trying to figure out if an 1970 LS-6 should have 13/16 spark plugs or 5/8 spark plugs. Anyone have an opinion?

The reason that I put the question out there was I was trying to find out how I could have two LS-6, correct part number heads, very close casting dates heads, with two different spark plug sizes. A resident LS-6 expert provided me with some more insight to his enormous knowledge of these cars. He agreed that the heads came in both configurations but he feels that production cars came with 5/8" plugs and heads sold over the counter at chevy dealerships came with the 13/16" plugs.
