Anybody know if you can remove the inner fenders while leaving the fenders bolted to the cowel. I have everything removed from the core support forward and will soon have the engine removed. http://www.nkyvette.com/FrontEnd.JPG
Will I be able to slide the inners out through the engine compartment? You may ask why. I don't want to go through the hassle of realigning the fenders or possibly scratching the paint.

Yes, You can pull them without removing the fenders. You will need to remove your wheels for clearance. I've seen them removed with the core support still on so your way may be even easier!!!

I take mine out from the bottom with the wheel removed , jacked up and placed on a jackstand.

My fenders, core support and bumper are all still on.
I easily removed both of the inner fenders on my '68 by removing the front wheels, unbolting the inner fenders, then pulling them out through the wheel wells.

I have the metal inner fenders...not the plastic ones...and they came out with no difficulty.

Easy to do. The curve in the front where the core meets the fender is a little tricky but no bigee. Take some pics before you remove so you know whether the well goes on top or under the core. You have to kind of 'slip it in' there.....

An easy job...I've done it a few times before without even removing the wheel.

Thanks for the help. That will make painting the frame and repainting the inner fenders easer.
