ok my 92 l98 350 does not want to crank it turns over smoothley but when it trys to catch I hear a knocking noise and the engine shakes also the is no oil coming out of the lifters when priming could this be the oip pump shaft the engine has had less than 15 mins runtime before I swaped it to the car but now it knocks when Its trys to catch on I know It could be a lot of thinks but could a bent oil pump shaft cause this?

Timing too far advanced would be my quess.
The oil pump shaft would break before it would bend.
If you have the proper primer (not just a shaft to the pump) you should get oil to the lifters.

Did you pull the distributor out before you intstalled this motor?

I messed arount with the distributor a little bit and found I was a tooth off. But i just realized that something internal was hitting something but the engine still does not want to crank almost like its not getting any fuel but the bowls are full. also the knocking went away when the engine caught a little then cut but the knocking went away and I know it has something to do with it internal the banging comes and goes I thought that the oil pan might be bent but the knocking has dissapeared
