I intend to connect my electric choke wire to the "assessories" fuse box spade. Before I
proceed, is this the best place to hook it up without having any potential problems?

I would prefer to hook it to the "ignition" buss

This would be----wiper----back-up--- ignition

This way it would not be energized with the key in "ACCY"

You could tap into the feed side of the fuse at the fusebox and add a fuse for the choke and not affect the loads of anything else on the circuit.
