Sooooo, im finishing up some loose ends on a project and am having a hard time locating the correct sending unit for the chevelle. 72 chevelle with factory SS gauges, looking for it to have 3/8 threads. The parts store has struck out 3 times and of all my parts catalogs i cant find a vendor with the correct gauge. They all read incorrectly when compared with a trusted source. Does anyone have the/a correct part number???? Any help would be appreciated

O Yeah this is the temp gauge sending unit and its going on a vortec headed motor

Some of the aftermarket parts books for the sending unit will show a pic and specs of the sending unit. Get the resistance of the 70 sending unit, then try to find the correct thread you need with the same resistance by looking at the specs. It can be done, but not likely at Auto Zone or Advance.
