: 70 SS turn signal
Have no clue. On the outside of car, all turn signals work. On inside, left works, right does not. Pulled dash pad, pulled socket, inside of socket is clean and bright. Attached socket with bulb to a spare battery with a couple of wires and bulb lights up. I can see no damage to the small section of printed circuit where socket goes in. What am I missing?

Thank you very much. Will do.

1.) Run a extra ground wire from the metal part of dash cluster to a good body ground.
2.) Noid test your headlight switch
3.) If all else fails it could be your ignition/turn signal switches bad and the contacts not lining up correctly.

Problem doesn't follow, tried a new socket and bulb also, no change.

undee70ss Jan 3rd, 09, 2:34 AM First, is you speedo round or square?
Assuming round speedo.....................
Most likely the socket is not making good contact with the PCB. Check both tabs on PCB that socket connects to with a meter.
Did you check both tabs on PCB that socket connects to with a meter? One side should pulse 12 volts with the R signal is on. If poor or no power, check PCB connector with a meter. The DK blue wire is for the R signal.
Thanks Greg, I'll check it out.
1971ss454Elco Jan 6th, 09, 10:16 AM Did you figure it out? Unplugging the PCB is easy, just push in the 2 ears on either end of the dash cluster plug and it will release then plug it back in and see what happened if anything.
Haven't figured it out yet, working on it with just the dash pad off is a PITA. I can't even get the test leads from my muti meter at the right angle to test the PCB. Copper strands look perfect and ears on new socket contact them perfect. If I take the socket out, can I test from the back side of PCB? Then I can get at it.
1971ss454Elco Jan 6th, 09, 11:53 PM Yes:thumbsup:
