Hello Fellow Chevelle owners!

I have read the forum for a long time and just joined. I'm finishing my 1966 convertible and found a 4 way flasher in the trunk of my old Malibu. It's a Signal-Stat Flarestat No.105 that has two plugs, male and female to patch between car harness and the column plugs, works great, but I can't find any information on where this mounted, know if must be lower left side of the column from the wire length, but would like to get the correct location.

Everything states 66 didn't have 4 way flashers?

Any help?

Thanks,

Gary

Option V74 Hazard warning switch equipment. Most mounted on a bracket under the dash.

I just installed one in my '65:

There were 2 holes in the lower dash lip, left of the column, that lined up perfectly with the bracket holes. A couple of 10-32 bolts & nuts, and it was done.

See http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253017 for a few other takes on the "proper" mounting.... seeing as it was "dealer installed" there's a few variables.

Thanks Thomas and John!

With John's pictures I found the holes, my has a power top, so one of the holes is used by the top switch, after removing I foung that the bracket lined up with the two hole perfectly! Then just remounted the switch and I'm off and running.

Thanks for all the help, I hope I can pass back to the forum.

Happy Holidays!

Gary
