i have a very noisy belt and i think that i have worn away the roughness of the pulleys so every time i change the rpm there is a loud noise. if this is the problem how do i fix it without replacing the pulleys (there march billet aluminum) and what are some other fixes to a noisy belt problem. the belt is not to tight nor to loose. wd40 was aplied but didn't help. any help would be great thanks.

I don't think you helped your problem by putting a lubricant on your belt. But here goes, start with replacing the belt. then since your pulleys are aluminum, I would take some 100 grit sand paper and roughen up the pulley "V's" slightly. Hope this helps, Rob

cj65malibu, have you tried this yet, I have the same problem. I was wondering what I could do to fix the noise.

Try some belt dressing or hold a bar of soap under the belt for a few seconds with the motor running.

Dont WD40 your belt unless your buckle is stuck and your with a hot woman. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
