hey i just got this new radar detector for christmas and i was wondering if it was any good i didnt wanna open it befor i new it was ya know its a whistler model xcs-800 the wierd thing i thought was that it runs off batteries it has total band protection detects POP Mode Radar and has 360 perimeter protection just wanted to know if anyone had one and if they liked it or know about them and liked it or disliked it thank you for your time

Don't know much about Whistlers - had one 20 years ago.
