I am installing a autowire power plus wiring harness in my 72 chevelle. The question I have is they don't really give you any info on the wiring of the wiper motor. Has anyone installed their kit and run into this problem. I'm mainly interested in just the wiper motor portion but if anyone has any information on the washer portion that would be appreciated as well Thanks Dean

The wiper/washer motor always has 12v anytime the key is on, (yellow wires) when the wiper switch is turned on one or more of the wires are grounded to make it work. The ltblue and black are both grounded for low speed the ltblue only for high speed. The dkblue grounds to latch the washer pump for one cycle.
Below is a pic of a 70 wiper motor

Hey Greg Thank you for the response I do have a couple of questions. I assume the black wire in the center of the switch is power correct? I see where the black and black/yellow come out of the motor so I assume that is the 12v wire. Hey thanks for the picture thats great. Dean

Hey Greg Thank you for the response I do have a couple of questions. I assume the black wire in the center of the switch is power correct? I see where the black and black/yellow come out of the motor so I assume that is the 12v wire. The black/yellow are power wires from fuse box. All other wires (Dk blue, Lt blue and black are ground wires. This is switched grounded, the wiper switch is on the ground side. When the wire switch is off, these wires are open, when the wiper switch is turned on, one or more wires are grounded to make it work. There is also a black ground wire from one of the wiper switch bolts to bare metal ground that is not shown in the pic. The wiper motor also needs to be well grounded to the firewall.
