We are trying to get the timing set right on my chevelle. (small block) we have initial at 14 degrees. with no vacuum advance it goes to 32 at 2000 rpm, and 35 at 3000 rpm. the question i have is when we hook up the vacuum advance. then at 2000 rpm the timing goes to 42 degrees. is this normal? seems like a lot to me. (msd billet and msd digital 6 ignition) would appreciate any help

Hi Natedog

Run it, your good to go. You might hafta put the really fine tune to it down the road just to find what it runs the best at.
