Hey guys, I am looking at buying some control arms for my 71 chevelle and want to get the sc&c upper control arms. I was wondering which type of bushings you recommend, the rubber or the greasable racing.
I will be driving this car often on the street and probably won't be going to the track, so I think I know the answer.
Thanks!

Save yourself some money and get the greasable solid ones.
Upper arms have very little "load" on them under normal driving, so the NVH isn't really a problem there.
Do yourself a favor though, and put some 90deg angled zerks on the rear bushings... the supplied "straight" type are not easily accessible after they are installed. Also, alignments are much easier with the hex on the aluminum "light weight" sleeves vs. the knurled round tube on the steel ones (can't put a wrench on them) so if you plan on doing a lot of alignments, spend the extra money there instead.

I talked to them about it and they offer the rubber bushings only because they know they would be requested. However there is no loss in ride quality with the racing bushings. Its nice to not have someone trying to sell you stuff you don't need.

Is it even possible to get the light weight arms with the greasable bushings, I don't see them offered:confused:
