I am rebuilding a mild performance 350 for my new '70 project and wnated to know if it is worth replacing the stock 1.5 ratio rockers with 1.6s? Is this truly a bolt-on upgrade? Do I need new pushrods, springs, etc?? Is there much to be gained by doing this?? I need new rocker arms anyway, the price is almost the same, so which way should I go??

Yeah, they are helpful. I use them on my driver (a noticeable increase in power from 1.5).

Easy to install, just bolt them on. However, you must check the push rod to guide slot, in the head, clearence. 1.6 rockers move the push rod location closer to the stud to increase the ratio. If the holes need to be enlarged, you can get a "Louis Tool" (a drill guide) to drill them out.

Usually there isn't any problem with stock springs but it is best to check for binding.
You can expect about .030" increase in lift and around 2degs increase in duration.
