On my 70SS, I seem to have proper operation of the vacuum system to open my cowl door. I don't believe the solenoid for the flapper seal is working. Can someone provide some troubleshooting steps, so I can pinpoint my problem?

I have all the original TCS pieces under the hood. All the wiring is still intact and the throttle switch at the gas pedal is connected.

Run a wire directly to the solenoid from the battery - this engage the solenoid if it is working properly.

I just went through trouble shooting my cowl induction. You will need a 12 volt tester.
Test with your key on. You don't have to have the car running to test the power.

On your step down switch at your gas pedal with the key "on" you should have 12 volts to one side of the step down. When you push the gas pedal to the floor the 12 volts just go through the switch which in turn should go to the solenoid to open your inner door. I found a bad wire connection at the solenoid.
