A "mini tub" probably won't be too much help, as the frame rails will also need to be narrowed to add any noticible room...

But, a "mini-tub" should be relatively straight forward... Cut the inner wheel house from the outer wheel house, notch the floor and move the inner wheel house inward, then add a filler strip...

Here is a tech article from Malibu Racing (http://www.maliburacing.com/frame_notching.htm) on frame notching. It's a different year but the basic technique is the same.

I'm finishing up a '66 now, 3" per side. It's very time consuming. The frame work went quick, the body work took about 20 times longer.

Do you have any pics of the process for your 66? I have a 67 I am planning on doing this to probably next month. I was hoping for 2" per side but 3" sounds better. I am trying to get all the information I can before firing up the welder!

Thanks!

I can email you a few pics. Is your email in your profile still good?

I needed 3" to fit the tire I'm going to run. It's really no harder to do 3" then 2", anymore then 3' and you'd have more issues.

Here are a few pics of the mini tub I just completed on my 67. I was about to get 1.75" from both sides. Any more and there will be almost no support.

WOW! Where to begin? Twin turbo Viper V10? Wow!

Are you planning on sectioning your body to sit down over the frame? Your interior frame seems to stick down below the frame rails about 6". I would think it wouldn't clear the ground by much otherwise.

Pics sent to you two.

Thanks! How difficult was it to get everything straight before welding it back together? That's what I'm most nervous about.
