If it is a non tilt there are the two bolts under the dash, that you can see once you remove the small piece that is under the column that fills in the dash. There are three screw's maybe four that hold a sheetmetal plate to the firewall. If it is a BB car with headers be in for pulling the drivers side motor mount bolt. I had to in mine. Then jack up the engine a few inches to get the shaft out. You need to unbolt the bolts that go through the rag joint. Replace it if it is sloppy. Then make sure the wire and indicator if it is automatic are loose and pull out through the passenger compartment.
