i posted a couple of months ago about my 71 malibu with the crazy engine problem that caused it to die when you hit the gas just the least bit, and let off really quickly. Well i fixed that problem when i replaced my spark plugs, and the engine was running remarkably strong, but when i changed the plugs, 3 of them were completely fouled with think black oily gunk, and the threads of the plugs were coated in oil. After only 3 days, the plugs went from brand new, to looking like they had 35,000 miles on them. Any idea why only 3 cylinders would have this problem? Thanks a lot guys.

Sucking in oil from somewhere. You getting smoke out the exhaust?
Which 3 cylinders had the bad plugs?

i'm getting a little bit of smoke when the engine is cold, but not other wise. i don't know the cylinder numbers, but i wanna say 1,6,and 7. if you were to look at the engine with the fan in front of you, it'd be
something like this: x=misfire
o o
o x
o x
x o

Those cylinders are 2,5,and 7. How old are your plug wires? Are you getting good spark? Might try hotter plugs.
