I tried to put a new pump on my wiper motor...it seemed easy enough, I went to put it back on, and now everytime I start the wipers it blows the fuse??!! I wired it back just like it was,I even took off the pump, it just makes a clicking sound and them blows the fuse. Could it be that it isn't grounded properly? Any ideas.... anybody...it has been raining a lot in Bandera TX.

I had the exact same problem, and it turned out that I either didn't wire it back like it was or the pump wires are actually opposite from the original, I switched the wires and cured the problem. Or it could just be a ground.

I did that on my 66. I also had an issue of not being able to get them to park correctly and a different motor fixed it. I thought I had it on wrong but it did the same even after flipping the arm to the motor. But I was using a rebuilt one not new.
