I was wondering if anyone saw the episode tonight. I was asleep through about the first half of it. I noticed they had a category called "The Doors" and I was wondering which Doors song they had. Anyone know?

I tried searching Google but was unable to come up with anything. I figured this is the most diversifed site I know, so someone must have seen it. :)

Episode of what?
Don't Forget the Lyrics is a show hosted by Wayne Brady where people put their mad karaoke skillz to use by trying to sing the proper lyrics to songs.
it's like American Idol, but with a lower budget.

Hmmmm ... must be why I've never heard of it, and as with "American Iralph", I've never watched it, either. :D :boring: :D :boring:

It is nothing like American Idol. People karaokee to songs, then they have to fill in the lyrics after the music stops. I've only watched it a couple of times. But the fact The Doors were on there it caught my attention.

didn't see the Doors category, but the guy and girl on the "blind date" did pretty well. Winning $500,000.

The guy got lyrics to ZZTop's SHarped Dressed Man then they asked both what they would do if they won $500,000 in the next round, the girl said a Harley for her Dad and a Smart Car for her Mom, the Guys says he learned the piano listening to Billy Joel and always wanted to play Bill Joels on a Billy Joel piano. So he would buy a Bill Joel Piano! Next category came up, it was Hometowns. the choices were
Dione Warwick Do you know the way to San Jose OR Allentown by Billy Joel! Guess which one they picked............ yep he knew the entire Billy Joel song by heart! Won the half million and walked away.

Unfortunately I suffered through this miserable show because my 4 year old and 7 year old daughters love it (that should tell you what kind of show it is). Anyways it was "Break on through" by the Doors that they did.

Well in my defense I was watching Family Guy and fell asleep. I woke up midway through the Wayne Brady show. I just happened to notice a Doors category.

But thanks for answering the question. Even though it appears you did mildy insult me in the process. I think I have thick skin. I hope. :)

it has one thing in common with American Idol- i won't watch either show on purpose.

Nah, not trying to insult you, I just really hate those singing shows like that. While I do have to admit, some of the contestants impress me with their knowledge of song lyrics, I also wonder at the same time, don't they have anything better to do with their lives?

They might ask the same thing of you about Chevelles. ;)

Always seemed like a 21st century rehash of "Name that Tune" to me.

I don't think that is really the case. Some people just have a knack for the musical stuff. I'll take my brother for example. You can ask him probably any question about music from the mid 1960's to now, and he'll probably be able to answer it. If I hear a song ,and like it, I can usually remember the details of it. Most of the stuff I've seen the few times I've watched that show doesn't interest me so I am pretty clueless.

I've watched the show a few times when OTHER people have control of the remote. :D

I have to say it is a lot better than some of the stuff on TV now days.
Seems like we have 5 minutes of anything between 10 minutes of one commercial right after another.
A half hour news cast has five minutes of news and 25 minutes of commercials. :(

It is Kinda fun to see if you know the missing words and a few of the people are pretty good singers.
