I am going to run a set of Autometer electric gauges in the car but also a set in the engine compartment (I realize that sounds a little funny and unnessissary but bear with me). Does anyone know if that means I will have to run a second set of senders or could I run both gagues off of a single sender. I am going back and fourth on this in my head and I dont have a running car with electric gagues at the moment to just try it. Anyone run this or know for sure if it will work or not. Thanks

I think you can run one set of senders. Never tried it, but I think it will work.

I would think that if the gauge inputs are high impedance, there would not be a problem. Think hooking your DVM to a circuit for testing. The gauge reading wouldn't change. (of course the DVM has a high impedance input)

I'm sure that the gauges would effect each other if they were connected to a common sending unit.
Gauges work on resistance differential principal so it seems to me that adding a second gauge would change the resistance.

Use an A/B switch to switch the signal from the interior gauge to the underhood gauge and back. Both gauges wouldn't work at the same time, but you can't be in 2 places at once either.
