We have a 72 Chevelle convertible. The top is stuck halfway up and we can not get it down. Can anyone tell us how to get the top down? Then, if so, can anyone tell us how troubleshoot and get the switch to work? Thanks, Mike Mull

If your sure it is just the switch you should be able to take the switch out of the dash and connect the wires to get the top down.

If it's the motor then that's another story.

If you find it's more than a bad switch you can remove the hyd rams and the top can be lifted and lowered by hand. Without the spring mechanism of a manual top I don't know how easy this would be though and driving with the top down isn't advised as the power top has no latches to keep it in place.

Word of caution if you mess with any hoses be prepared for a fluid mess!
