im looking for someone that can tell me how many 73 chevelle ss 454 were built with a vinyl top

I don't know if they even kept records on that or not. But I will say that I have seen a dozen over the years and every one I saw had a vinyl top.
2 were new and still on the dealers lot in early to mid 1974. I almost bought the one with a 4 speed.:)

Pa Pa John has seen the majority of '73 SS sightings with a vinyl roof cover, but in my case over the years since they were new I have seen hardly any with the vinyl top. I have also seen one with the factory sliding sunroof (454 4-speed as well). This was an absolutely mint original car back in 1977.

You know, maybe I'm thinking of the Laguna! Now that you mentioned the sun roof. I saw a 73 SS at a local cruise with one. No vinyl. It had an accent color along the bottom of the body.
