Well I know there has to be a reason but I haven't found it yet.My 69 chevelle will simply run out of gas.It may do it as soon as I start out or other times it will do it if I let it idle for a while.It only does it when I take off from a stand still,never when I'm driving.
Any suggestions would help

Sounds like an accelerator pump issue. My car does this. If I step on the gas from a stand still it'll almost stall.

What do you have for a carb? With the motor off, look down the carb and move the throttle linkage all the way back and see if you see gas squirt out.
