I had a core support and my inner fenders media blasted along with other parts. In the shop were several rolling chassis that had been completely stripped. I asked them how much it was to do a car. He told me it was usually $500 for an exterior a $1200 for interior and exterior.
I thought about how much I paid my body shop to prep my car. The next car I do will go to the media blasting shop, it is a bargain.

That sounds kinda high to be honest. I had my 69 Charger sandblasted inside and out. I dropped it off on a rotisserie. $750 for everything except the hood and deck lid and they did the whole car inside and out.

Just depends on where you live, and where you take your stuff, and how quick they get it done. I have a shop 60 miles away, they take forever to get stuff done, but they do a good job and they are cheap. I also have a shop here in town, I drop stuff off on Monday, usually they call on Wednesday and tell me to come get it. Good job, but a bit more expensive. So I take stuff I am not in a hurry for to the cheap shop, and stuff I need yesterday to the one in town.

It's all about filler work with the time thing....If it's a good job and you have patience, you can save some money:yes:.

I still think it is quite a bargain when you think about the time it takes to sand paint and rust off.

They don't really have any set prices for anything around here, it's a flat rate of $125 per hour for as long as it takes to do the job.

quotes from 900 to 1400 around here for a shell and front clip, doors, etc. but they wont get the underside of the car because they cant so still stuck with that part of it.
