I ordered a new set od hedman headers from jegs. The passanger side fit fine. the drivers side does not. So far I have disconnected the accelerater linkage, the steering shaft, the oil filter, and jacked the engine up 5 inches and this thing still won't go in has any one else had this problem with a 1966 chevelle small block and if so what did you do differently. It looks like the nest thing I will have to take off is the oil pan. Hedmans add reads no hammering garanteed to fit ya sure.

ge3311, just got done installing my headers over the weekend, I had to put mine in from the bottom without jacking up the motor. My steering shaft was already removed, Hope this helps.
