: headers jpoell Jun 18th, 02, 1:48 AM I have a '69 Chevelle SS and currently have headers running to glasspacks. The pipes were rusty so I cut them right after the glass packs untill i get a new exhaust. Is it ok for me to run straight headers or when I drive it, would air flow enter through the headers and cause backflow? I have always heard that it isn't good to run straight headers unless feeding it out the sides or straight pipes. No, problems with burnt valves.
