: One Hot '64 Resto-Mod
cfChevelle Dec 16th, 08, 7:38 AM I'm a purist at heart, but I love to see these resto-type cars tastefully done. This is one sharp car, IMO. Wonder what it will go for... your thoughts?

Peloose Dec 16th, 08, 10:04 AM This car does look nice. The orange candy paint fits the car. I wonder what the reserve is.
RyanNilcea05 Dec 16th, 08, 10:14 AM Nice car! Is that a state issued vin?
DaleM Dec 16th, 08, 10:49 AM Nope, typical 1964 VIN - 45567L127490, 1964 VINs were different from 65-71 VINs.
4 - 1964
55 - Malibu 6-cyl
67 - convertible
L - Los Angeles (Van Nuys)
127490 - sequence number starting at 100001
Looks like one I've seen in a magazine or two before. Nicely done and fairly high dollar.
MikeMalibu Dec 16th, 08, 11:01 AM WOW. Lots of detail work in the interior. Notice how straight and shiny the side molding is? As usual, it's doubtfull he'll get his investment back.
wills65 Dec 16th, 08, 11:23 AM Thats a pretty nice car. Im not a HUGE fan of verts, but that one is really nice. I agree with you MikeMalibu, unfortunately for him, he probly wont get even close to what he put into it, but thats just the way it goes I guess.
twotone64 Dec 16th, 08, 11:32 AM Gonna check this one out later at home where ebay isn't blocked... stupid school computers

bcice Dec 17th, 08, 12:52 PM That is a nice car!!
Very! I am wondering what it cost to have a car upholstered like that. Any idea?
Jblack Dec 17th, 08, 3:30 PM Why with all the work ,does it still have old drum brakes, and a rusted master cylinder?????
I do like the look though.

That master cylinder sure does stand out like that doesnt it? I remember seeing this car when it was in Super Chevy. I like it. On a different note. I wish I had a tree that looked like a giant pineapple in my yard like that.
Morin69ss396 Dec 18th, 08, 6:58 AM I like the paint and the engine bay . But the interior should have had a little more thought and customization I think.
Jblack Dec 18th, 08, 8:13 AM The color of the interior doesn't flow with the exterior either. I like the look of the seats, but it needs to be some shade from brown to cream would look MUCH better.
Bad64chevelle Dec 18th, 08, 11:19 AM Wow, that is really scary. Pretty much the SAME color my 64 SS Convertible is. Nice looking car (but then again I am biased) however the interior is "eh". Detail is really amazing though.
