I need to replace the harmonic damper on my car v8 283 small block with no air.
I had ordered 80010 PowerForce Fits 283/327/350 (6.1" O.D. x .75" thick)
however I don't think it is the right one .
Basically I need the correct one so as the alt pulley will line up which it doesn't
I think it needs to be externally balanced, push on, not bolt on
So my question is what are the specs or does anyone know where to purchase such damper?
Right now I just put a skirt on it because the original one wobbles

The 283 that was originally in my 64 El Camino didn't have a harmonic balancer. It was just a press-on hub for the crank pulley to bolt to. I tried to find information about that setup but didn't find much.

Any 283 or low performance 327 balancer will work.
Your original was press on.
All 283 and 327 are internal balance.
They are on ebay occasionally.
I prefer to go to swap meets where I can take a good look at the balancer before I pay for it. Look for cracks in the hub, don't buy one that has a lot of damage from a hammer driving it on the crank, look for rubber that is in bad shape.
If there is a seal groove you can install a stainless sleeve.
You can run larger balancers but you have to change the timing chain cover and make sure the pulleys are lined up.

What does PowerForce say? Do they claim it fits? Why order it if you don't think it's the right one?

How far off is the damper? Is the damper about an eighth inch to the rear?

This is the second post where you've claimed to need an external-balanced damper.
WHY would YOUR 283 need an external balance when NONE of the 283s came with external balance dampers originally?
ALL the Chevy dampers are push-on. SOME (most) crankshafts also have a threaded hole in the front to add a retaining bolt. Nothing special there.
Right now I just put a skirt on it because the original one wobbles
I hope you didn't spend too much for the skirt...
