i have a lead on a 1970 dated 454 comeplete engine that runs strong thats all I know so far... How much is it worth? he is asking $1000.00 firm!

PCB67SS Dec 15th, 08, 6:01 PM Do you know any of the casting numbers and date codes from the block and heads? It could be a 4 bolt main block or a 2 bolt main. It could have desirable heads or other pieces. Does it come with everything carb, pulleys, or brackets? Lots of variables that could effect final price, not to mention overall condition....shown running or supposedly runs strong. Try to gather some more information as it may not be a steal and hopefully wont be sold out from under you....If you can get some more details a fair price can be calculated.....Good Luck.
