HELP! I just put a 327 in my 67 ele with a single wire altinator and a HEI ignition. Now, when I run the engine all I'm pulling is 5 to 6 volts and the altinator is brand new. Does any body have any suggestions?

Check your grounds and verify that the volt gauge is accurate. Incidently, check to be certain that you are supplying the HEI with a full 12 volt power source.
