: 72 malibu, too much?
jeremy79bu Dec 13th, 08, 6:57 PM I had a 72 malibu at one time and would love another, looked very similar to this one. This car is priced too high though correct? Give me your opinions.

savage71chevelless Dec 13th, 08, 7:07 PM Wow, looks like a gorgeous car, I really like it. I would say too much too, based on the economy. If it's rust free and as clean as it looks, I would think 11-12k would be a good price for it.
depley Dec 13th, 08, 7:08 PM I would say its a good bit high, more like a 10K car tops with the engine and color combo.
never buy into supposed actual miles without verification to back it up. They have had that car for sale for a long time now.
jeremy79bu Dec 13th, 08, 7:19 PM I personally like green on green. Im going to go see it in person next week.
furball8994 Dec 13th, 08, 7:24 PM Iagree with the others. Theres nothing special about this car. Its a base Malibu nothing more, nothing less. I think three years ago, They may have gotten that price, But i thing 10K tops right now..
robo3 Dec 13th, 08, 9:29 PM start at no higher than 10,000.00 its a les desireable year and looks to need a few things cleaned up to be worth 15,000.00. you can nit pick it and start low and always have him say no till you wave cash in his face ! play the game !
oldtimebaseballfan Dec 13th, 08, 9:41 PM If you look at it, take some better pics and post them here if you want more opinions.
Based on what has been said about it being for sale for a long time, there must be a reason why it hasn't sold.
nitrousss Dec 13th, 08, 9:50 PM I say it's worth no more than $8K.
jeremy79bu Dec 13th, 08, 9:54 PM I will take some pics, I actually only have $10k to spend without having to borrow. I really was not aware it has been for sale for awhile, maybe that will work in my favor in getting him to come down on it.
bigskycountry Dec 13th, 08, 10:54 PM The 307, and the interior color will hold back some buyers from a future resale also. This car needs some things to justify the kind of asking price they are seeking. 10-11 grand car to me. However I do like the exterior Gulf Green.
sg5492 Dec 13th, 08, 11:46 PM I think that car was for sale when I was looking at the one I bought a year & 1/2 ago.
savage71chevelless Dec 14th, 08, 12:04 AM I really like that green color, looks sharp on that 72. If you could get it for 10 grand, and it's nice and clean, I would say you did really good
jonh1373 Dec 14th, 08, 12:33 AM I have seen cars from that dealer before and they are always real high. Typical dealer pricing. Good luck.
kevinc Dec 15th, 08, 1:51 PM Yes, that car has been for sale for a very long time. I think at least a year, possible longer I'm sure you could beat them down to $10,000 so he could get it off his lot. Good luck!
P.S. I looked at the website for the dealer and he just lowered the car to $12,500. Looks nice in the pictures. I wonder if its lighting or some reflection, but the left reay quarter panel looks like its a shade different color. Anyone else see that?
