: cowl hood broke

The hood door worked. Then it would open but not close after it opened, unless you got out and did it by hand. Now it does not close at all.What part or what should I check to trouble shoot. Thanks for any help!

Check the vacuum canister that's connected to to hood door.Take the hose off the intake and suck on the hose running to the hood door.The door should close by doing this.

Is the check valve still connected? Vacuum keeps it closed, so if it's open, you've got a leak.

When I disconnected the vacuum line and sucked on it the hood door would not close. So I guess it's safe to asume that, it is the actuator asm. that is bad. Also I don't have a clue why this would reprint the question. Thanks for all the help everyone
