Well I have been trying to fix a little smoking problem i ahve been having in my 69 350 small block. It has headers with straight pipes which makes it nice to find which side the engine is going bad. Yesterday, the car had been smoking white pretty badly on the drivers side, but the passenger side was running perfect. I changed the plugs on the drivers side and tuned the carberator and the problem quickley ended. I got a whole lot more horse power back. After a while of running the other side started. I changed the plugs on the passenger side, and both pipes quit smoking. Well later tonight i started up again no smoke but then at operating temp started on both pipes, but not bad. I took off the radiator cap and water poured out adn steam came out. I let it sit for about 30 min and checked the oil. There was no water in my oil. The oil was perfect. So with all this can someone diagnose my problem. COuld it still be my carb not tuned in. Its a rochester q-jet.
