never been an el camino guy, but got a line on a orignal numbers matching 70 cortez silver, 2 owner, black interior, PS, PDB, automatic trans, power window option, AC, cowl induction hood with working flapper. the car is all there and mechanically sound but needs a complete resto. no documentation but i did check the numbers out on the trans and motor and they checkout.

I'm not really up on Elky numbers but pictures are greatly needed when trying to give an estimate on a vehicle. Without pictures it's very hard to guess at a vehicles worth, too many variables to consider. Try to get some and post them here, the Elky guys will be glad to help.

Sounds real nice Mike.

It's really hard to say these days what most cars will go for with $'s being tight. El Camino's seem to fetch a much lower price than the Chevelles. If it's in good shape and mostly there, I'd say $20K - $30. SS Elco's seem to sell around there.

I know someone that has a very high quality, matching 70SS L34 with 3 buildsheets and protecto and is having trouble getting 25K for it. Even rare with a red and white vynil top instead of black. Yet, the interior is black. Very stunning combination. I always thought it was a steal.

Without pictures and based on your description, I would say about $10k to $15k. It's going to cost at least another $20k plus to restore it.....and then be worth $25k when it's done so you're instantly underwater.

Chris R....is there a link to the car you mentioned for sale?
