I have a 66 SS w/ 12 rearend. I wanted to go with Rally wheels, so I found a good deal on some 15X8 AZ wheels. Seemed like most were running 275/60/15's in the back so I picked up a set of BFG's.

These things are close as crap to the fender lip... for those with this setup, I was considering droping the rear an inch or 2, Is this possible without grinding the lip on the fenders?

I also have a 66 chevelle.I had 275-60-15 on my ralleys and they were to close.If you drop it they will hit.Your going to have to cut the wheel well lip.I put 255-70-15 tire on and they fit perfect.They are about 28.5 inches tall but I have 4.10s so it works.

Thanks for the reply. NTB has the 255/60 in stock, so I am going to have them switch ithe tires out. What size did you use in the front?

What BS are the rims? I had a set of drag wheels with a 4" BS and they rubbed on one side. I switched to 4.5" BS and they fit fine. Check to see if you have extra room on the backside of the wheelwell.

I am not too sure of the back spacing... Do the AZ wheels come in a 4.5? When I was searching for them, they all seemed to have the same back spacing.
